Company Overview#
VTouch is a Korean deep-tech company that builds natural user interfaces for computing without screens or physical buttons. It is based in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The company develops three core interaction methods: contactless spatial touch that lets users control devices by pointing at them, a voice-AI wearable ring, and mid-air hologram buttons. Its goal is to make everyday interaction with devices, cars, and public machines faster and more hygienic by removing the need to touch a surface.
Technology & Product#
VTouch’s flagship consumer product is the WIZPR RING, a titanium ring that lets the wearer talk to AI assistants with a quiet whisper. Because the microphone sits close to the mouth, sound pressure at 5 cm is about 100 times higher than at 50 cm, so it works in noisy places and does not need a wake word. Raising the hand to the mouth auto-unlocks voice input, and the ring stops listening when it moves away, which reduces false triggers and protects privacy. A physical button adds hybrid control, including a five-press SOS mode with location sharing. The ring weighs 4 grams and is IPX4 water-resistant. VTouch’s other line, Spatial Touch, lets a user control air vents, windows, speakers, and displays by pointing in mid-air, using a motion-prediction algorithm for near-zero latency and a multi-step filter to prevent accidental input. Holo Button adds contactless control through a floating hologram.
Market & Use Cases#
The spatial touch technology targets the automotive industry, especially future autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles where fixed button layouts no longer fit flexible seating. It also suits shared vehicles and public machines where touchless control improves hygiene. The WIZPR RING targets consumers who want hands-free, discreet access to AI assistants while walking, driving, or working. Hologram controls fit kiosks, elevators, appliances, and product showcases where users prefer not to touch shared surfaces.
Traction & References#
VTouch holds about 120 patents in natural user interfaces. It has shown prototypes and technology with major carmakers and electronics firms, including Hyundai Mobis concept cabins and a Kia autonomous-cabin demo at CES 2019. The company has received CES Innovation Awards across several years, including CES 2021, CES 2022, and CES 2024, with the WIZPR RING winning a CES 2024 Innovation Award. The WIZPR RING launched through crowdfunding in March 2024, with a retail price of $199. Co-CEO SeokJoong Kim was named “Invention King of the Year” in 2021.
Collaboration Relevance#
VTouch fits carmakers, tier-1 automotive suppliers, and appliance and electronics makers that want touchless or voice control built into their products. It is well suited to PoC and joint development for in-cabin interfaces, hologram kiosks, and voice-AI hardware, and to licensing from its large patent portfolio. For AI and assistant platforms, the WIZPR RING can act as a discreet, always-ready input device. Its Seoul base and existing work with global automotive and electronics partners make it a practical partner for Korea-Europe technology projects.
