Company Overview
#

Syntherixs is a Korean company that builds synthetic data for AI. It recreates real datasets as artificial data that keeps the same statistical patterns and is designed so that no real individual can be identified. Teams can then analyze the data and train AI models even when the original records cannot be shared because of privacy rules.

The company covers three data types: tables, text, and images or video. It is based in Daegu, Korea.

Technology & Product
#

Synthera Tabular regenerates structured data, such as customer, claims, and transaction records, as synthetic tables that preserve the original statistics. Its SynthOptim engine also measures how useful the synthetic data is and how much privacy risk remains, then prepares the documents needed for a data-release review. The engine runs without a GPU.

Synthera Studio handles unstructured data. Privex rewrites text such as consultation records, complaints, and reviews, removing personal details while keeping the meaning and flow. SynFS replaces faces in images and video with synthetic faces while keeping the background, lighting, and expressions. Each delivery includes a review report that documents the safety, utility, and validity of the result.

Market & Use Cases
#

Syntherixs serves organizations that hold sensitive personal data but still need it for analytics and AI, including insurers, public agencies, and consumer and manufacturing companies.

Typical use cases include sharing data across borders or between entities without exposing individuals, training fraud and pricing models without personal data, and building generative-AI assistants on de-identified records. Public bodies can also open datasets to hackathons and startups using synthetic copies. In manufacturing, factory video with the people removed can be used to train safety and process models.

Traction & References
#

Synthera V1.0 received GS Grade 1 software quality certification from the Korea Testing & Research Institute in November 2025. Syntherixs has worked with public and enterprise organizations including the Daegu and Busan pseudonymized-data support centers, the National Information Society Agency, Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS), Korea East-West Power, and Daegu Metropolitan City. It won a Grand Prize at the 6th Daegu Big Data Analysis Competition in 2024, part of several awards received between 2023 and 2025.

In April 2026 the company signed an MOU with the German Aerospace Center (DLR).

Collaboration Relevance
#

Syntherixs fits partners in insurance, consumer goods, manufacturing, mobility, and the public sector that hold restricted data they cannot fully use. Both Korea and Europe enforce strict data-protection regimes, so the company’s approach is designed to reduce privacy risk in line with European rules. This positions it as a candidate for compliance-focused evaluation under the GDPR and the EU AI Act.

Good PoC targets include co-validating synthetic tabular or unstructured data for quality and compliance, de-identifying claims imagery or customer text, and enabling cross-border data sharing within large groups. The company is actively looking for German and European partners.
