Company Overview#
SmartRide develops software solutions for commercial fleet management and vehicle operations, with a focus on digitizing maintenance workflows, dispatch operations, and service coordination. Its existing fleet-management platforms provide a foundation for extending operational support to autonomous vehicles and next-generation mobility services.
Technology & Product#
SmartRide’s core products, D-note and IMMS, are SaaS-based fleet-management solutions supporting operational workflows such as driving records, dispatch, attendance, settlements, and vehicle maintenance.
Building on this foundation, SmartRide proposes an Autonomous Vehicle Service Hub Platform that standardizes service-center workflows across vehicle intake, diagnosis, repair, charging, waiting, and release. The solution combines structured operational data, a KPI dashboard, and standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to help service centers coordinate vehicle downtime and maintenance more efficiently.
Rather than replacing existing dealer management systems (DMS), the proposed platform would integrate selected operational data to support service-center operations and the emerging needs of autonomous vehicle fleets.
Market & Use Cases#
The technology can support commercial fleet maintenance, automotive after-sales operations, service-center digitization, autonomous vehicle fleet support, and vehicle downtime management. Potential applications include coordinating maintenance and charging activities, tracking service-level performance, standardizing operational data, and improving the utilization of existing repair facilities and charging infrastructure.
Traction & References#
SmartRide’s D-note and IMMS platforms are already operating commercially as paid fleet-management SaaS solutions. The company has also conducted an Emergency Roadside Service (ERS) pilot with the National Taxi Mutual-Aid Association in Seoul and SK SpeedMate, validating a three-party workflow covering service requests, assignment, handling, completion, and recurrence management.
SmartRide reports four registered patents, including technologies related to AI-based driver matching and cloud-based device registration. Its proposed Mercedes-Benz service-hub model remains at the proof-of-concept demonstration stage, while the underlying fleet-management software has reached commercial operation, corresponding to approximately TRL 7–8 for the core platform.
Collaboration Relevance#
For Mercedes-Benz, SmartRide’s proposed platform could support more efficient after-sales operations and future autonomous vehicle fleet management by connecting maintenance, diagnosis, charging, and vehicle redeployment workflows. A lightweight proof of concept at a Mercedes-Benz Korea service center could evaluate whether standardized operational data and KPI monitoring improve repair turnaround times, service-level compliance, and infrastructure utilization without replacing existing DMS systems.
