Company Overview
#

SIG Corporation is a Korean smart healthcare company focused on senior care. Its main product, SENIHUG, is a contactless sensor pad that monitors the sleep and vital signs of elderly people without any wearable device.

The company serves care facilities, hospitals, and local governments that need to watch over seniors, people living alone, and long-term care residents. The goal is to detect risk situations early and help caregivers respond faster.

Technology & Product
#

SENIHUG is a sensor pad placed under the mattress. It measures biometric data without a wearable, a charger, or a camera. The pad connects over Wi-Fi and sends data to the server every three seconds, and it reconnects automatically if the connection drops.

The pad captures a single vibration signal that contains chest movement from breathing along with noise. A proprietary algorithm based on Variational Mode Decomposition separates heart rate and respiration from this signal. The AI improves measurement accuracy as it learns, and it derives heart rate variability to help flag signs of depression, anxiety, and stress.

Caregivers view all data in real time through a web dashboard and a mobile app. One screen can monitor many devices at once, and families can also follow a user through the app. When the system detects an anomaly, it sends an alert within about five seconds so staff can act quickly.

Market & Use Cases
#

The core market is elderly care. Typical customers are nursing homes and care facilities, hospitals, and public agencies that run welfare and safety programs for seniors.

The contactless design fits people who cannot or will not wear a device every day. Common use cases include overnight monitoring of care-facility residents, safety checks for seniors living alone, and loneliness-death prevention programs run by local governments. The same approach also extends to sleep health tracking and early screening for chronic conditions.

Traction & References

SENIHUG was finally selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS program, recognized for its AIoT-based contactless biosignal sensing technology(Electronic Times). The company secured about KRW 2.2 billion in commercialization funding in the first half of 2026 through TIPS, the Deep-Tech Startup Academy, the Credit Guarantee Fund’s “Little Penguin” program, admission to SVC Seoul, and a seed bridge investment(Electronic Times).

Its seed round came from the “Hectocorn No. 2” fund, formed by the Hecto Group with accelerator CNT Tech, which backed the company’s contactless biosignal technology and in-house AI algorithm(Electronic Times). The company holds several copyrights and registered patents, and earlier recognitions include an “Excellent” mid-term rating in the 2025 Gyeonggi North Youth Startup Academy, a 2024 Seodaemun-gu youth venture award, and a 2023 “Best” selection in the First-Time Youth Startup program(Electronic Times).

In May 2026 SIG Corporation signed an MOU with iCoop, a digital healthcare platform, to work together on loneliness-death prevention, care monitoring, disease screening, sleep health monitoring, and public and local-government pilots(Electronic Times). The company joined the 2026 Deep-Tech Youth Startup Academy delegation to Düsseldorf, Germany, run by KOSME with 123 Factory as the local partner.

Collaboration Relevance
#

SIG Corporation suits partners in senior care, digital health, and public welfare. Care facilities, hospitals, insurers, and local governments are natural PoC partners for overnight monitoring and early-warning services. The contactless pad is also a good fit for smart-home, welfare, and remote-patient-monitoring platforms that want vital-sign data without wearables.

For Korea-Europe collaboration, the company’s participation in the Germany delegation opens pre-PoC discovery with European care providers, insurers, and health systems. Europe’s aging population and strong elderly-care sector make SENIHUG relevant for facility monitoring and home-care pilots.
