Company Overview
#

NAVOROS builds integrated safety systems for commercial drone (UAV) fleets. The platform connects four parts: risk detection, physical crash mitigation, independent incident recording, and fleet data for insurance review. The goal is to make commercial drone risk measurable and to reduce losses from crashes and third-party damage.

The company sells to drone manufacturers, operators, and public agencies, with both B2B and B2G models. NAVOROS started in 2023 and was incorporated as NAVOROS Co., Ltd. in 2025. It is based in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Technology & Product
#

NAVOROS combines four products into one safety platform. NAVOROS Core is an independent safety controller and flight-data recorder. It uses its own sensors, such as IMU, air pressure, temperature, GNSS, and voltage or current, together with on-device AI to detect abnormal flight and assess risk. It records before and after an event, keeps its own power and storage, and transmits encrypted data over LTE. Because it works independently of the flight controller (FC/MC), its records can survive a crash, water, or fire.

Protect is a skid-type airbag that deploys automatically to absorb impact and to give temporary buoyancy after a water landing. Recover is a parachute system that slows descent after a confirmed fall. Together they reduce impact to people, the aircraft, and the payload.

NAVOROS Fleet is a safety dashboard. It turns flight records into fleet readiness, safety scores, and claims evidence. An embedded low-power beacon also transmits incident location and status.

Market & Use Cases
#

Commercial drone use is growing in industrial inspection, logistics, public-sector, and emergency-response work. As fleets grow, the risk of crashes and third-party losses grows too. Today, flight data, incident records, and safety-device data often sit apart from insurance decisions.

NAVOROS targets operators and agencies that need to prove what happened in an incident and lower their risk exposure. Typical cases include a crash investigation that needs trustworthy flight evidence, a fleet operator that wants safety scores, and an insurer that needs reliable data for underwriting, renewal, and claims.

Traction & References
#

NAVOROS showed its integrated safety system at the 9th Defense Science and Technology Fair at the aT Center in Seoul, held from 30 July to 1 August 2026(Industry Ilbo). The company plans proof-of-concept tests with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and LIG, and plans to exhibit at CES 2027(Industry Ilbo).

Drop testing under controlled conditions showed up to 71% lower impact transmitted to the aircraft and payload, up to 93% lower impact to the ground, and successful flotation after airbag deployment. Results depend on the aircraft, drop height, and surface. These tests do not yet demonstrate lower insurance losses, and the product is at the prototype stage.

Collaboration Relevance
#

NAVOROS fits drone manufacturers, fleet operators, public agencies, and insurers. For manufacturers, the Core recorder and safety devices can be built into new aircraft. For operators, the Fleet dashboard supports maintenance and safety management. For insurers, connected incident and fleet data can support underwriting, renewal, and claims review.

The company proposes a pilot with ERGO ScaleHub to test whether its safety and incident data can improve drone risk decisions in a German use case. This makes NAVOROS relevant for Korea-Europe work on drone safety, insurance data, and fleet risk management. The near-term aim is to validate insurance relevance, not to promise premium reductions.
