Company Overview
#

Meta Physical Intelligence develops AI-based technologies for early detection of electrical anomalies in electrified mobility, focusing on EV battery safety, predictive maintenance, and prevention of critical battery failures.

Technology & Product
#

Its ELI Solution combines ultra-high-speed signal sampling, data processing, and multimodal AI to identify electrical abnormalities that conventional BMS or ECU monitoring may not detect at an early stage.

The solution consists of three components: ELI Care, hardware capable of 20 ns sampling and 50 million samples per second; ELI Connected, a preprocessing SaaS platform; and ELI AI, which applies AI models to predict abnormal battery and power-system behavior. Target anomalies include voltage imbalance, insulation degradation, internal short circuits, and arcing.

Market & Use Cases
#

The technology can be applied to EV battery safety, predictive maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, fleet monitoring, and electrified mobility systems. By identifying precursors to serious battery failures, the solution is designed to support earlier intervention and risk management.

Traction & References
#

Meta Physical Intelligence’s technology has achieved approximately 99% prediction accuracy and has been validated through real-world applications. Beyond automotive applications, the company has also secured a predictive-maintenance contract in the rail sector. Its technology has received recognition including awards at CES 2026 and the Edison Awards 2026. Technology maturity is assessed at approximately TRL 7.

Collaboration Relevance
#

Potential collaboration with Mercedes-Benz includes integrating Meta Physical Intelligence’s early-warning sensing and AI analytics into EV battery diagnostics. The technology could support battery safety monitoring, predictive maintenance, and future customer-facing diagnostic services.
