Company Overview
#

GIGR is an adtech startup that uses generative AI agents to run the full ad creative workflow. The company is based in San Francisco and has Korean roots. Its first product, Playad, covers planning, production, testing, and performance optimization in one platform.

The goal is to remove the high cost and long lead time of traditional creative production. GIGR focuses on teams that need large volumes of ad creative and fast performance feedback, especially in gaming and commerce.

Technology & Product
#

Playad is a multi-agent AI platform for marketing creative. It takes campaign performance data, then plans and generates new ad assets such as video, images, and banners. It feeds these assets back into the ad system and learns from the results.

Playad is built as an AI-native creative platform. It started with interactive advertising and expanded to images and video. The product launched in the third quarter of 2025.

Market & Use Cases
#

The main users are marketing teams with heavy creative production needs. Gaming and commerce are the primary target markets because they require frequent creative refreshes and rapid A/B testing.

Useful settings include user acquisition campaigns, creative scaling for app installs, and performance marketing teams that want to cut production cost while testing more variants.

Traction & References
#

GIGR raised a USD 5.4 million pre-seed round (about KRW 7.9 billion)(Byline Network). The round was led by BRV Capital Management, with Mirae Asset Venture Investment participating. Angel investors included Krafton outside director Bo-ra Jeong and Hyprsense founder Ji-hoon Yoo(Venture Square).

Some client cases show ad creative production cost falling by up to 90 percent, alongside better user acquisition efficiency(Venture Square). GIGR was selected for the 2026 Gangnam-gu testbed program.

Collaboration Relevance
#

GIGR fits gaming studios, app publishers, and commerce brands that run high-volume performance marketing. A practical pilot would connect Playad to an existing ad account and measure creative cost and acquisition efficiency against the current workflow.

For Korea-Europe collaboration, GIGR could work with mobile gaming and e-commerce companies that scale paid user acquisition across markets and need localized creative at volume.
