Company Overview#
FUST Lab is a research-company spinout from the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science. It builds focused ultrasonic equipment for material processing and wastewater treatment. The technology supports nano-emulsification, dispersion, extraction, and ultrasonic advanced oxidation.
Its main platform, DEBREX, supports surfactant-free nano-dispersion and emulsification. It is useful for materials that are hard to process with standard equipment. FUST Lab also develops CAVITOX for difficult industrial and pharmaceutical wastewater, including PFAS-related use cases.
Technology & Product#
FUST Lab has product lines for material processing and water treatment:
- DEBREX: focused ultrasonic equipment for emulsification, dispersion, extraction, and water treatment. DEBREX 30/50 are for formulation R&D, DEBREX 100 is for continuous processing, and DEBREX 500 is for scale-up and mass production.
- CAVITOX: ultrasonic advanced oxidation equipment for hard-to-degrade wastewater, including PFAS-related contaminants.
- Cosmetics ODM: surfactant-free cosmetic formulation and ODM using DEBREX process technology. FUST Lab also built a demo-room setup in Germany for European customer testing(Wowtale).
DEBREX uses cylindrical ultrasonic processing to focus energy inside a controlled flow path. Cooling, real-time frequency tracking, flow-rate control, automated cleaning, and monitoring help stable operation from lab tests to production.
Relevant materials include SWCNT, MXene, carbon nanomaterials, nickel and metal powders, battery materials, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, and electronic materials.
