Company Overview#
BeyondDx wants to catch cancer early with a single blood draw. Its tests combine several biomarkers from a single blood sample — a “multi-integrated” analysis — to build a fuller picture of a person’s health. Its main focus is lung cancer, one of the hardest cancers to find early.
Technology & Product#
The lead product is ForeCheck LC, a blood test for early lung cancer screening. It is a “liquid biopsy,” which means it works from a blood sample instead of a tissue sample. The test measures a small set of protein biomarkers in the blood serum (proteins that can signal disease) and uses machine learning to return a simple result: high risk or low risk. It runs in about 150 minutes and powers the company’s iDXGate AI diagnostics platform. In early-stage lung cancer, the company reports sensitivity of about 81% (how often it correctly flags real cases) and specificity of about 90% (how well it avoids false alarms).
Market & Use Cases#
ForeCheck LC is aimed at people at high risk who have no symptoms yet. Lung cancer often ends badly because it is found too late, so catching it early matters. A simple blood test aims to spot hard-to-detect Stage 1 and 2 disease. Over time, the company plans to extend the technology to companion diagnostics (tests that help doctors choose the right targeted treatment) and to mental health conditions such as depression.
Traction & References#
BeyondDx raised seed funding from Bluepoint Partners and was selected for the DeepTech TIPS program in 2024(The Bio News). It won the grand prize at the 2025 Women’s Startup Competition run by Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups(Womennews). The test was clinically validated with a team at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, and the results were presented at ASCO 2025, a major cancer research conference(The Bio News). In 2025 the company signed an MOU with Shanghai Kehua Bio-Engineering to jointly develop and sell ForeCheck LC, tapping the partner’s sales network across Asia, Europe, and Latin America(The Bio News). It is part of the IBK Changgong bio-health group(Kpanews).
Collaboration Relevance#
BeyondDx is looking for partners to help validate the test with European patients and to develop companion diagnostics. Its existing MOU already covers European distribution, so the company is clearly ready to expand across borders. Its platform, built on protein biomarkers and machine learning, is a good fit for companion diagnostics tied to targeted cancer treatments.
