Company Overview#
APGREEN is a distributed on-site hydrogen and power solution company that leverages existing gas infrastructure. The company combines Catalytic Partial Oxidation (CPOX) reforming and fuel cells to produce hydrogen and electricity directly at customer facilities from city gas, LNG, or biomethane — without the need for large-scale hydrogen delivery infrastructure.
Technology & Product#
APGREEN manufactures the APG-Series, a containerized hydrogen production and power system:
- CPOX Reforming (Catalytic Partial Oxidation): The system reforms city gas, LNG, or biomethane into hydrogen with low energy use and high thermal efficiency.
- Fuel-Cell Integration: Hydrogen feeds directly into integrated fuel cells to generate electricity on-site.
- Modular Design: The APG-Series uses an all-in-one container design (models APG-5, APG-20, APG-100, and APG-300) that is mobile and easy to install.
Hydrogen produced from city gas or LNG is natural-gas-based. When biomethane is used as the feedstock, the same systems enable a low-carbon hydrogen pathway.
Market & Use Cases#
APGREEN targets distributed energy consumers, hydrogen refueling stations, industrial plants, fuel-cell power generators, and biogas processing facilities. The modular containers let operators generate electricity and hydrogen locally, cutting transportation and logistics costs.
Traction & References#
- APGREEN holds 20 patents in total — 9 applied and 11 pending(APGREEN).
- APGREEN won the H2 Innovation Award (Hydrogen Production category) and the Best Product Media Award Excellent Pick at the World Hydrogen Expo (WHE) 2025(Venture Square).
Collaboration Relevance#
- Refueling station operators and industrial facilities can run PoCs with modular APG units to test on-site hydrogen sourcing and reduce delivery reliance.
- Agricultural and waste management operations can partner with APGREEN to convert waste biogas into electricity or high-purity hydrogen.
- European and global utilities that need local grid support or backup generators can deploy the APG-Series as a distributed power node.
- For European research institutes, APGREEN is open to joint CPOX R&D, reformer optimization, fuel-cell-grade hydrogen validation, and pilot demonstration projects.
